Featured Projects of Wicehtowak Constructors Ltd.

Wicehtowak is currently engaged at the K+S Legacy site, located on Six Nations land north of Regina.

As announced by Senior VP Mike Ferguson at the Mining Supply Chain Tradeshow in 2011, K+S is making a significant effort to employ First Nations People and Contractors on this project.

Legacy will be the first new Greenfield potash mine built in Saskatchewan in nearly forty years, with production targeted for 2015.

Wicehtowak has engaged the George Gordon First Nation to provide band members as part of its job shadowing strategy.

Wicehtowak provides candidates with both trade and life skill mentoring to help promote a holistic approach to work/home balance that will aid in their success.

Graduates of the shadowing strategy are indentured into a Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification program once a career path is chosen.

All Wicehtowak employees receive on-going Cultural Awareness training to help integrate the First Nation candidates into the work force.
